On 05 September 1967 one of the LUCKY RED LIONS , UH-34Ds from HMM-363 took 8 to 10 minutes under fire to load five MEDEVACS . on take off , the Corpsman, G.R. Panko (6774362) , the gunner, PFC L.B. Reigle ( 2279342) and the co-pilot, Major M.E. Salter (062172) were all three wounded by shrapnel.
