Dear Sirs,
My name is Daniel W. Hail and I just found this web-site. I was one of the Marines who helped paint this Huey. They would not fly it over the show, but they used it to go out in the field. I would appreciate it if someone would e-mail me back to get in touch
Thanks,(SEMPER FI)
Dan Hail

Dan, please contact me at MarinePatches@aol.com so we can add you to the squadron roster. Your one of our long lost squadron mates. We so far are located over half the guy who served with HML-167, and some of your buddies would like to contact you. Allyn Hinton

I had the privilege of being on the flight crew of Santa 1 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1970. Pilot was Lt Yannessa, memory does not serve me as to the co-pilot or crewchiefs names. Logged over 20 hours in two days and I believe we went to every Marine outpost in I Corps. We would contact them by radio to get their attention then fly over their position "Popasmoke" on either side of the aircraft and circle the position until the smoke was out. It seemed like so little for us to do but the Grunts Loved it. Would have loved to have seen the Bob Hope Show, but this is one of my most special memories of my tour.
