I was FNG in Aug of '67 when the base at Marble Mountain was rocketed (Aug 25?). Can someone who was there give me details? I got shrapnel to the head and was sent to Oakland Navel Hospital and subsequently discharged. My friend, Cpl Clyde Edgel was also a FNG and went to Oakland. He subsequently died in an auto accident the following Spring.
