Anyone have records of crew (particularly Crew Chief) on 9 May 1968, CD 46D 152574 headed to 881 N? This guy probably saved our bacon that day! We took 50 cal rounds, starboard engine quite, gave us a fire warning light. We were tree top low and topped out in the "Dead Man's curve" when the engine quit. I was struggling to keep out of the trees and get turns back for single engine speed. He shut down the PMS allowing us to get everything out of the good engine and RTB Khe Sahn. I hope I said thanks at the time, but in case I didn't, I owe you one.
