Tough to keep a good Marine down! Get well soon!
Great pics thanks for sharing, Paul!!!
Me too! No list, but LOVE Paul Moore's stories!!!
Thanks for the update, Slick!
Two Women Marine Crew Chiefs in the last class....who knew back when we were flying the old "A" models and "D"s that the gals would get into it?? They are the last of the Phrog Phlyers known world...
JJ, None of us, that I knew anyway, flew for medals. This farce of an award remains an insult to those of us that did fly in actual combat. No excuse, just a typical politician response.....
Dumb, dumb, dumb! Just the thing for the morale of those in a real combat zone!!! Should rank this below Nat'l Defense!
Another great story, Paul!! Thanks for continuing to share with us!
I'm sure! No disrespect meant at all....WAAAY faster than humping them out or driving them out!!
Yay! Glad we can do that again!
They didn't get anywhere in a hurry did they Paul??
Hear, hear! Although I'd like some beenie-weenies in there......LOL
Thanks Gary, interesting information there....
Prayers and best wishes to Doc and Patti. Sad....
Paul,
Still appreciate your "I was there" accounts of the many places you've been and things you did. Gives us all first hand history lessons. Can't get that in books!!
Craze, When 165 got to RVN they were using M-60s, maybe that's why. We got .50s in early '68 for everyone, some got them sooner than that. I qualified with the M-60 when we were on the Valley Forge...
Never saw or heard of one except in RVN. Above the South China Sea, low level, killing old barrels!
Larry,
My oldest Grandson told me he is going into the Marine Corps after graduation this school year, and guess what?? He wants to work on helicopters!! I figure that MV-22s would be okay as well!...
Thanks Paul! Same to you, sir!
Pirated this from another Marine, but is is worthy of reposting here, I think.....
THE BATTLING BASTARDS of BENGHAZI
We're the Battling Bastards of Benghazi,
No fame, no glory, no...
I was with Dale in HMM-365 and he is a good guy, Had a chance to visit with him and his son briefly in Orlando. He and Jim Mazur (also in 365) are old buds.....
Get well soon Dale!!
Quite a night, Paul!
Chuck,
I knew you from Memphis and I Scott better than Jim Tyler, but I knew "titty" too. When he made Crew Chief his most of the time gunner was George Greene, a good friend of mine to this day. By...
LOL!! Actually they were two story and we moved into ours in HMM-165 in November '67....During monsoon season the "vented" sides had to be covered up with ponchos or similar, to keep stuff dry and...
We didn't get the 'Fridge, Chuck....WE still had to go to the Division PX to get, 'em, but we weren't allowed to take 'em on the Valley Forge or the Ttripoli....SOme folks got a DEAL, since after the...
