IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT WAS WITH HMA-369 ON BOARD ANY OF THESE SHIPS, DENVER, CLEVELAND, DUBUQUE DURING MAY 1972 TO MARCH 1973 THAT CAN HELP ME PROOF THAT WE WERE IN COMBAT IN VIETNAM IN THOSE YEARS IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. ALL OF MY SERVICE MEDALS, RIBBONS, CITATIONS AND SUCH WERE BURNED IN MY HOUSE FIRE. NEEDING THIS INFO FOR VA DISABILITY. I WAS KNOWN AS GAR OR A. J. NAME ADOLF J. Think you were part of support shipd for LPH-10/11 at that time or the USS Okinawa they had HMM-165 and 164 aboard along with the MAU/MAB and comphibron 6 for the trip and new orleans I was with 165 during that time and we flew missions in xcty almost every day and partivaprd in operation LAN SAM phase II _spelling+maybe this will help

I was with VMO-1 in 1971, when we sent the first 9 "J" model Cobras to WesPAC to HMA-367. Upon HML-367 being redepolyed in the summer of 73 to Futema, the Corbras formed HMA-369. In December 73, I made it over to HML-367. Like 369, we were never in country offically, but most of our Hueys and personel were on detachments supporting units in country. The one time we had more than a half dozen Hueys, we did a fly over with 12 Hueys. We had to borrow pilots because we only had 9 in the squadron. I never saw more than a half dozen, if any, Cobras on Futema.

The ones I have seen contain last names of pilot, copilot, crew chief, gunners, and any other crew. They are pretty detailed as to what was done and where the flights were made. For example Mission #52, LZ Baldy to Sanctuary, 1 pax etc. There is also a column for fire received / returned.

At one time they were classified but I understand they are now available to the public.

Can someone else can come up on frequency and explain how to get them?

Go to the Search Page: VVA Search page and type in HMA-369 and the date. The files are in PDF form so you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. There aren't any After Action Reports online for 369.
