Alpha Recon Association Gathering Nov 10-14-2010

Alpha Company 3rd Recon Bn is hosting a gathering of Marines Nov 10 -14 2010 in Arlington VA . This event is open to all Marines and Friends. Many people travel to the Washington DC area for the Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans day. Many times folks find it cost prohibitive. We have negotiated what we feel is the best room rate in the DC area and very close to the Iwo etc. If you are thinking about spending time in DC or would just like to join in with are group all will be welcome.

We would welcome Popasmoke Members. Some of you have shared time together at past events like the Return Of Team Breaker to Arlington. A grand time for all guaranteeded.

Is this a good place to stay and do metro to LZ Popasmoke?

Ir is easier to catch the cab from these hotels/motels as the nearest metro to the Wall is at least 8 blocks away - and it is a hump!!! From this hotel on route 50 the cab will come across the Roosevelt Bridge to Constitution Aver and drop you at 20th St & Constitution - or talk the Recon guys into letting you ride their bus. Last time they showed up they got off the bus, got in formation anf marched to our hootch!!!
