Walt is an active Popasmoke member and is currently dealing with a very progressive Parkinson's disease.

It is difficult for him to type, but I'm sure he would appreciate emails of support, which you can forward to wcohoon@cox.net.

Jan, I just hope Walt is not depending on the va. They have made progress in memory loss, and Parkinsons, but a lot of the time, it depends on who you go to. I hope he will still try to use the machine, as the more the mind, and Body is used, it helps. I hope it has not gotten to the end stages. It is progressive, but hope it can be slowed. JJ, seems the va has said whats happening. There must be a building of people working on the statistics of we Vietnam Vets. We are all at that age where anything can pop out with us. I'm wondering about it myself. Semper Fi, and READY-APP.

Walt Please get Better soon. From Bill Burg....!! I want to ask for Prayers for 'Darkhorse Battalion 5th Marines and their Families. They are Fighting it out in Afghanistan & they have lost 9 Marines in 4 days. It would be good to see all that care for them say a small Prayer for them when you can. Clair Fitzgerald, Chaplin, Mairne Corps League, Dept. of Washington. S/F.

you don't know how hard it is to type when you have Parkinson's unless you have been there. My health other my Parkinson's is good. I am on meds that seem to help. My dr increased my meds by 200% last week . Now I will have to wait and see.


Now for the good news . The VA will give me 100% disability because it is Nam related. No sympathy is wanted.

Jan, thank you for posting the letter telling us the best news we can get for him. I am glad to see the va coming through. Hope there is back pay from onset. Glad Walt feels well, and is on increased meds. There is a medium amount of meds needed. S/F.

Walt just want to say Don't ever feel ALONE OK ,some of us have some of the same or a likeness to some Parkinson's. MS,heart, lung(COPD) and of course the good old Agent orange . Keep on and try each day to find something to Smile about! Even if its At me or the many others on here. God Speed Young Marine.

Al, very glad your feeling much better. The increase in the doseage will help more I do believe. I hope something good comes out of this new Gene therapy. Hope so. It too is very GOOG news the va is considering it Service Connected. I'm with you, NO sympathy is needed, OR wanted.
