    Reunion and Memorial dedication

16-18 May 2012: reunion & dedication of Squadron memorial at the National Marine Corps Museum, Dumfries, VA. Details at vmo6memorial.homestead.com.
The memorial remembers the 66 squadron aircrew members killed in combat in four wars, 1928 to 1976.

Ed, do you recall any of your members having contact with the family of Capt. Al Dean, KIA early april (4-5-67 I belive) He was "loaned" to VMO2 for 3 months in late 66 and I crewed for him on a lot of missions. I requested to accompany the body home ( I came home 4-7-67) to the family and was informed......no way. If any of the family has contaced VMO6 members, I would appricate the chance to tell the family what a wonderful guy he was.

I'm the sister of Al Dean, whom you inquired about. I would deeply appreciate hearing from you.
