Website upgrades

Within the next 24 hours several looks and just slightly the "feel" of popasmoke.com will be changed to the end phase of progression. It is possible for something to not work exactly as you remember it - but we are striving to keep changes as minimal as possible. The links on the left of the homepage may be slightly different of size depending on your computer settings and several "bookmarks" or "favorites" may have to be updated.

The NOTAM link will remain the same as will most of the website but if the actual name changed the information WILL still be available through the respective links on the left.

Over the next week we will be rolling out several sections from old the platform to the end stage. Bear with us if something is not exactly the same and feel free to let us know so we can address the issues we might somehow miss; if it is an intended difference we will also let it be known.

Thanks once again for all the patience as the end is coming in view; once everything is at the end stage then we can easily identify bugs and fix them without guessing if it is software issues etc

Ya gotta go to the bottom of the page at this juncture. "New program...,new numbers...,new goblins & who-dos"...,the boys will "git-er-dunn." I'm sure that this is just another tweak that they have to deal
with.

Once it all works we will layout better instructions and all the old photos are still going to be there but from here out uploading new photos and navigation of the photos on Visions will be a bit different. No thanks necessary,but appreciated. It cannot be easy being an NFGIC with a brand new OS & a group of cranky old 'fawts'.,that do not embrace
change in a pleasant manner. LOL

Having spent the last ten years running and managing the HMH-463 Vietnam website at the
HTML code level, I know that it would be an easy matter to move the birthdays back up to
the top of the page.

It would be a convenience for us 'ol pharts' ..... and give us a quick check when we log in.

Being at the bottom and out of sight, more than a few of us might simply forget to scroll
down and look everyday.

Also --- when "going to the latest post" it SHOULD go to the bottom of the thread where
that post resides, NOT to the first and oldest post at the top.

And when a post is added or edited, it also currently returns to the oldest at the top.

Visions are under maintenance; to view the VISIONS categories until conversion is complete go here: VISIONS ARCHIVES

While converting to the new system the archive cannot accept new photos/images. The new photo upload system will be installed within 4-24 hours. thanks again for your patience.

The system hiccuped on Sunday. A bunch of posts went to the nether world. The tech guys are trying to find & retrieve them. The gremlins are poking around this website a lot - and the guys are looking for them - honest!!!

When will the new posts be available? haven't seen any new ones since Fri, 05-04. only the daily check in and website upgrade posts show anything new.
