We were such Babysans. I remember the rule was Marines in a combat zone could grow a mustache but I was such a kid I could't grow one. Dinky Dau Marine (Guns up) -Submitted by: Chuck O'Donnell [ignatius9347@yahoo.com] 2006-05-08

This picture is very special to me because it is my little brother. When he called me today, 6-11-06, and told me to go to the website to see what he came across, I couldn't believe my eyes. I will never forget the day we left him at Detroit Metro Airport. He was so young, just turned 18. I am so proud of him and thank God that he came back to us. I am also thankful to all of our service men and women and pray for their safe return. -Submitted by: Barbara Sobecki [jbsobecki@comcast.net] 2006-06-11

I'm Rons mother (and older sister). We are just as proud of him now as we were many years ago. Many prayers were said for his safe return. He is every bit the same proud Marine now as he was then. A true American. As he says, Once a Marine, always a Marine. The only difference between that picture then and any now is at the top of his head. It shines just like he does. Thank you for the great surprise. It brought back tears and memories. Love always Mom -Submitted by: lottie roman [lottie_louise@webtv.net] 2006-06-12

Hey, thats my Uncle Ron (Roman)! I'm proud to be his nephew. My heartfelt 'thanks' to everyone who helped him along the way... especially those who helped to bring him home safely. God Bless the US, and God bless our troops! -Submitted by: Ron Miller [ronald_miller@hotmail.com] 2006-06-12

What a cherished picture of my young Uncle Ron! Its hard to believe he was ever 18! My son is going to be that age soon, and I can't imagine him going off to war. Love ya Uncle! -Submitted by: Cindy Harper [cindyharper04@yahoo.com] 2006-06-14
