Phu Bai Air Base, Thừa Thiên-Huế Province - October 1969. A photo of Mama-sans (US slang adopted from Korean for Vietnamese women working on U.S. military bases). These mama-sans were hooch maids who cleaned hooches and barracks. This was a real change from Quang Tri Air Base where neither mama-sans nor Vietnamese were permitted.
