This yet to be identified Marine is a young RECON Lt. from the 1st Bttn Force Recon (Rein) at 3rd Mar Div's Recon pad at Phu Bai on 25 Jan, 1968. Note: Marine Parachutist Badge (GOLD) and shinny bars indicating this young Lt. was not coming in or going out to the bush.

He met us at the recon pad after we delivered a recon team (Pearl Chest) from a hairy hillside extraction on 25 Jan, '68, Just prior to going after the Quizmaster team who was deeply in the __________

I've finally after 48 Years identified this young Marine Recon Lieutenant. It is Joe Taussig who was with 1 Bttn (Rein) Force Recon when they moved up to Phu Bai in January of ''68. Joe now lives in Switzerland. Thanks to Bill McBride of 3rd Recon for recognizing Joe.
