Many of the VMO-6 "short timers" came back to USA on the USS Bexar County in October 1969. It took 32 days---it was the boat ride from hell with two weeks of heavy seas. Barth didn't eat for two weeks he was so seasick and lost almost 30 pounds! We arrived in San Diego around the middle of November.
