I saw this from a tower at the 80th Support Group area, I was the Company Clerk for the 43rd APU. We heard stories that someone was buring off grass and let it get out of control. I never knew what really happened. -Submitted by: Bob Mayben [bobmayben@usa.net] 2009-06-16

Not sure if it was the same incident but I was at MWSG 17 when a bomb dump went up during the daytime...I think it was a little after post tet. I took a couple of pictures of the concussion effects knocking shit off of our building. -Submitted by: pt gibbs [patgb@sbcglobal.net] 2009-06-18

Great photo. How far away from the DaNang flight line was MAG 11 ? I was on the ground in the air terminal when this party got started. -Submitted by: Rick Clemons [Rick@3pl-solutions.com] 2009-11-19

Man does this bring back memories. I was with Hq Btry 4th BN 11th Marines. We were on the west side of the dump with the fuel dump in between. After the ammo dump going off all day, it finally got to the fuel dump. we spent the whole day in our bunkers. I had some outstanding photos, but alas, they have been lost. I heard the same story as Bob, but who knows for sure? -Submitted by: Paul Miller [pvmiller.nam@gmail.com] 2011-11-16
