I may have been NCOIC of that barracks, that also looks like the bunker I designed and had built. I was with H&MS-36,worked in a bunch of maintenance trailers shaped like a rotundra. I fixed the ARK-44 radios you all used to talk to the ground troops. I was there from March 68 to 19 March 69. One nite on incoming after we knew the enemy had zeroed in on the runway we sat on top of that bunker and whatched our birds being blown up. We thought the vietcong were stupid for not targeting those rat trap barracks. -Submitted by: Ronald Lee Plautz [paduck60@aol.com] 2011-08-02

I lived in that barracks on the ground floor back in 1968. There was an artillery battery behind it. Spent some time in that bunker as well during rocket and mortar attacks during Tet. The rotunda that you mention... I helped to build it and even came up with the title of The Rotunda and made the sign for it. -Submitted by: Emil J. Duke Syc [ohmy1@wi.rr.com] 2011-12-25
