This picture came from an issue of Naval Aviation News back in the early 50s. The first two Marine helicopter pilots killed in combat flew this type chopper. They were Lieutenants Bancroft and Langstaff, killed in seperate incidents with the loss of the choppers. Streets at New River are named after them. Their deaths occurred in Korea 1950. They too were in the rescue business of saving Marines lives.
