The young marine top left photo facing camera was my best friend Lcpl Bill W.Luke 3/26 . Wounded at Khe Sanh early 1968. He passed away a few years back of some god forsaken cancer that the doctors said was found only in south-east asia. Was killed there and he didnt even know it. I miss him. Thank you for posting the photo. -Submitted by: Charles Wood [ivyvet67@aol.com] 2008-06-17

I was part of VO67 (Observation Squadron Sixty Seven) and we planted sensors all around KheSanh that picked up the movements of the NVA that prevented the base from being overrun. We lost twenty crewmembers during our missions in the process of helping defend the FSB. We were with you during the entire Seige. We were the big ugly green old WWII looking aircraft flying low and slow with miniguns on the wings and M60s in the rear hatches. Col (then Capt) Pipes was at our reunion in San Diego in 2005. God Bless you all, my brothers! -Submitted by: Earl Litz [viewcam@mchsi.com] 2010-11-16
