Fire Support Base QUANTICO Khe Sanh area Hill 512

This photo sent to us by Warren Atkinson, RVN 67-68, it was taken at Fire Support Base QUANTICO. located about 4 clicks northeeast of the Khe Sanh Combat Base, grid coordinates (XD 871428) info obtained from 2/9s chronologies indicates we were there at Quantico during Operation Scotland II-Nanking, sweeping and clearing the area along with a number of other units, and providing mountain top and firebase security. The photo was taken 9-16 Oct 68. Quantico was occupied by a 105 Battery from 3/12 Marines and was supported by Helicopters. Photo enhanced by John P.
