HML-167 Fly By Spring 1970

HML-167 was able to get all, but one of their aircraft up for a Fly By of MMAF. The squadron was one engine short of being able to get all 34 of their aircraft in the air at the same time. Photo credit: Ted Polacec

great remembrance I was there watching the fly over with our s-4 section. It was a fun day that i remember. God bless our veterans.

I was there when we had this fly over. When I was flying, I was a door gunner, when not, I was in maintanence control. I recall, the purpose of this fly over was to get all 36 helicopters in flight status. We were almost successful. Unfortunately, we could not get one helicopter in the air. All-in-all, it was good to see so many of our birds in the air.
