Manuel Denton was my uncle, he was an HM3 when he died 10/08/1963, while in a SAR mission. He is actually in the 3rd row between the HM2 and the HN with glasses. He was finally laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetary on August 7, 2008. He had left behind three (3) daughters. They along with his former wife and my mom (his only sibling) along with his former wife and numerous family and friends were present when he and newly found remains of 3 of his fellow crewman who had previously been laid to rest were given the Honored and memorable Christian burial that they all deserved. You gave your lives trying to rescue a downed aviator, the pain of your loss still remains with us all. Yet the memories of you and honor to have the blood line of an American HERO course thru our veins will live on forever. GOD Bless the Men who made the ultimate sacrifice & GOD Bless AMERICA!!! -Submitted by: HMC RICK PENA, NAC/FMF USN (Ret) [PenaDuo76@aol.com] 2009-02-07
