When I first saw this photo I was in the University on a 4 year ride; this photo, moved me to dropping out and enlisting in the USMC in 1969. I served with 1/5 and 1/1 as a grunt with a radio in the Que Sons and A Shau Valley.

When I first saw this photo I was in the University on a 4 year ride; this photo, moved me to dropping out and enlisting in the USMC in 1969. I served with 1/5 and 1/1 as a grunt with a radio in the Que Sons and A Shau Valley. For me, this photo taught me more about the Corps then my father or boot camp.
