I think this could be the Post Office. Not sure. Just a guess. -Submitted by: George Lovell [geo49341@charter.net] 2007-07-24

I found a Black & White photo that clearly identifies this building as the Post Office. The Post Office was just accross from my hooch. In fact the picture was taken just outside the door to my hooch by where I racked. Not shown in this picture and to the left was the base church which shows up in my photo. My picture would ahve been take some time late 1968. -Submitted by: George Lovell [geo49341@charter.net] 2007-08-15

And if you were to go to the right as you are looking at the post office you would be going towards sickbay . which was hit by a 122 rocket while I was there October 68-November 69. Semper Fi -Submitted by: George Lovell [geo49341@charter.net] 2008-10-14

I'm sure it is the post office to. If I remember right the door on the right is where the Pay Officer set when issuing out pay requests. In 66/67 you could just draw the amount of pay you needed and let the rest stay on the books. -Submitted by: Jack Mc Daniel [semperfi64@comcast.net] 2008-11-28

This is the post office. You can see a street that runs beside the post office and the motor pool off to the left. The chapel (out of the picture) was next to the motor pool and the outhouses were behind the post office. You can see Monkey Mountain and the flag at the COs office in the background. The dental clinic and sick bay were to the right of the PO. I was hit by a 140mm rocket outside the dental clinic on Aug. 28, 1967. -Submitted by: Ron Reagan [rons03ultra@hotmail.com] 2009-01-27
