The signs O.K., But its not a real warbird squardon like VMFA-115 was. My favorite sign in Vietnam at ChuLai was a big red sigh that sadi Mag 13 - Fighter Town -Submitted by: Gary W. Borders [Ke40ak@aol.com] 2006-07-18

I wish I could have been in a warbird squadron,but instead I was in the BOMB DUMP 18 on and 6 off making napalm,250s.500s.750s,20 mike-mike for the warbird squadrons MAG12 and 13. Once in awhile men were sent to us from mainside for their punishment.There is a lot of blood, sweat. and tears behind the H&MS 13 patch in 66,67,68. -Submitted by: William T Ford [sgtford@bellsouth.net] 2007-01-23

I was in the Bomb Dump my entire 13 months from the beginning of Feb. 68 to March 69. I too recall the mainside guys sending Marines to the dump to do hard labor. What a morale boasted that was to those of us that worked there. One of the most pleasurable times was working for Master Gunnery Sgt. G. B. Gilbert, the dude.
