Quang Tri- Third Medical Battalion
Bringing in the wounded to 3rd Med Triage circa October, 1968. UPDATED 27 Aug 2002 " I submitted this picture of the medivac helicopters at the landing pad in Quang Tri. It was taken on 35 mm slide between Aug and Dec 68. If you need a more exact date I can look on the side for the developing date. I was a Corpsman with Kilo 3/9/3 from Dec 67 to Aug 68 at which time I was transferred to Third Med in Quang Tri. Rfellek39@aol.com "

I served here too, with Hotel 2/3, as a Corpsman. When we were pulled from the bush in Sept 69, I ran medevacs from our bldg next to the LZ out to the Repose; many trips back and forth from the 3rd med Bn hosp to the choppers. most were CH 46D by then.. we also had Air Force guys in our hootch, # 37, who ran fixed wing medevacs from the air field across the road to distant hospitals. We left in late Nov 69 with 3rd Marines to Okinawa.
