This a CH-46A SLICK from HMM-265. The slick had all unneccesary weight (tail ramp, heater system, some armor, etc.). My aircraft was selected to be the slick for the squadron. I went on one of those secret missions for Project Delta, into Laos, to lift out aircraft parts and bodies, in a hot zone. The slick carried no gunner and the crew-chief only had a M-60. We came back late at night after completeing the mission and at 3,000 feet plus, over the high mountains, with no doors, windows or ramp on the aircraft, it got COLD in the rear, wih all of the wind blowing through there. -Submitted by: Bunnie mccosar [bunniemccosar@windstream.net] 2008-01-15

This is not HMM-265, but is actually HMM-164 (YT) HMM-265 used EP. Agree with te SLick part. We were told by Boein tech Rep John Dulligan NOT to do that. Weakened the structure at station 410!! -Submitted by: Joe Reed [jhrcbr@comcast.net] 2008-01-17
