This picture was taken 7 August 1966; the incident took place 6 August 1966, a four-plane (H-34) recon insert five miles or so southwest of Cam Lo in which my aircraft (I was co-pilot; had been in-country 3 days) did not survive going into a treeline at an altitude of 80-100 feet and maybe 40 knots and what was left subsequently burned. No fatalities resulted. -Submitted by: Hugh Smith [hdsmith02@yahoo.com] 2006-04-07
