In 1966-early '67, the building behind the sign was the E shaped messhall. Left side was enlisted, center was the kitchen and I believe the right was officers. Building on the far right was the enlisted club. Officers quarters and flight ops would have been at the photogs back, and enlisted to the left. In early '67 they would occasionally barbecue steaks using cut up oil drums set up between the insignia and the messhall. There also was a USO show on a stage that was set up to the right of the picture. -Submitted by: Otto Brunke [obrunk@yahoo.com] 2011-01-02
