This is the Heligoland not the Repose. I was the Ear, Nose & Throat surgeon aboard the Sanctuary from February 1970 to February 1971. The Repose returned to the US on March 16th, 1970. The Helgoland eventually returned to Germany and its staff was moved to a land based clinic at An Hoa. They were captured by the Viet Cong and force marched to North Vietnam. They either died on the march or were killed by the North Vietnamese. -Submitted by: Fred LaVenuta [fredlave@cableone.net] 2008-11-05

Not sure which ship this is.. but it is not the REPOSE. If you look at another of the REPOSE you'll see it has 3 red crossed on its side. This one has 2 and one up above. Just a note. -Submitted by: Tom Swart [tswart@verizon.net] 2006-10-26

That isn't the Repose, but rather the German Hospital ship that was normally moored in Da Nang in 1970. -Submitted by: Mark A. Byrd [mark@markbyrd.com] 2006-07-10
