Great photos, however, Quang Tri Airbase was located a little south of dong Ha, between Hue and Dong Ha, not Phu Bai.

The photo that was taken in 2007 is similar to what it looked like when we arrived in fall of 1967. Except where the airstrip was or just off the Highwar 1 was a cemetary where detachment from NMCB 10 lived in shelter halves while we cleared the area an were able to build hootches that we only got to stay in shortly. They were turned over to the Marines and we stayed in squad tents. We set a record building that Airstrip.
