HMM-363 Bob Greer Combat Aircrew 67-68 (Avionics)

This photo shows Bob Greer / HMM-363 Combat Aircrew 67-68 ( Avionics) / aboard the LPH2 USS Iwo Jima, sitting in the gunners seat off one of the Lucky Red Lions UH-34Ds., standing by for a mission in March 68. Bob did his first tour with H&MS 16 Avionics at MMAF, 66-67. Bob has provided Popasmoke with some great photos to include the H&MS 16 "VC Kills" photo as well as the photo shown below of HMM-363s UH-34Ds in an early morning formation flight. As you can see from the photo, Bob kept his M60 ammo clean and close at hand, the weapon will remain unloaded until after take off.
