at the Vietnamese boot camp just northwest of Phu Bai runway. HMM-263
i was with ICO. 3RD BAT. 1ST MARINE. DIV. guarding namo bridge from 6-68 to 8-68. i remember there being an esso refinery on the hill, and an army camp on the north end of the bridge. photo brings back memories, but bridge was standing when i was there. alot of traffic went over that bridge during to day. at night there were 2 tanks on either end of bridge. i remember a village on the west side of the bridge where we had a run in with nva one night and a real bad fire fight. thanks for the photo. semper fi // john mastrangelo [jdm49rfan@aol.com]
