Mess Hall, DaNang 1963
Good reason for taking this picture. Don't forget where you work, sleep AND eat! Colonel Gomez was the CO of MAG 16. He frequently flew down from Okniwa to Da Nang but was not there most of the time.

Semper Fi Mike Carroll sr Comment by: Michael R. Haase on Jan 24, 2010 06:22 PM Where is this chow hall? I was in the Navy at Camp Tien Sha beneath Monkey Mountain. Prior to that time I was in the Security Department living in the Marine Barracks on Naval Station Adak, Alaska. Comment by: CHARLES GLACKMAN on Jun 12, 2010 08:43 PM I WILL NEVER FORGET THANKSGIVING DINNER IN 65. WE HAD RABBIT FROM AUSTRALIA AND DUCK FROM SOMEWHERE AND ABOUT 10 5 GALLON CANS FULL OF CASHEWS. WOW. DID WE EVER STUFF OUR POCKETS AND HATS WITH CASHEWS. THE DUCK AND RABBIT WAS WONDERFUL TOO. BETTER THAN ANY TURKEY I EVER ATE. MIGHT HAVE BEEN BECAUSE THE REST OF OUR FOOD SUCKED. HA HA
