3MEB, Udorn
The 3rd Photo is myslef and LCpl. Carlton King a long tiime friend from school and home who joined the Corps 3 months after I had and was in Okinawa I think with 3/9 and also ended up in Udorn and lo and behold we ran into each other. (The Corp can be pretty small) You will notice in that photo the tent is off the ground and on built up flooring. I remember slipping our around 3:00 AM and going over to one of the Water Buffalo we had for use and squating under it wetting down, then soaping and rensing down. Finding this web sight brought back many memories I had almost forgot. The K-Bar I was issued to this adventure I still have. I was awarded the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal for the Udorn service. We initially were the 3MEB and later became the 3rd MEU But we were never there huh. Semper Fi David F. Skelton 1920265
