    My name is Robert Buckholdt,

    I am looking for any one that might have served with my uncle Leo Buddy Buckholdt
    Private First Class, VMO-2, MAG-16, 1ST MAW United States Marine Corps. he was killed before i was able to ever meet him and was trying just find out what kind of person he was any help would be greatly appreciated..

    I didn't know Buddy, I had just arrived at VMO-2 a few days earlier. The folks that did know him referred to him as "a good guy". For what it's worth, and from what I know of the incident he did not suffer-I know that doesn't help much, to a Marine it means a lot.
