      Morning Marines!
Sunny and 70s/80s here most of the week. some rain but not seeing any today, they say.
Cut my lawn once already but getting close to an oil change and lube. Gotta see about another filter, the ones at the mower shop
are ridiculously expensive! Kohler engine won’t mind a bit….May be due some new blades this time too. They get a little thin after a while.
Have some spraying to do and some more tree trimming too.
You folks have a great week.

49 heading to 59 and back to more normal weather.
PT this morning and I’ve gotten used to the exercises they gave me last Thursday .
That just means they’ll step it up a bit .

56° supposed to rain later today.
      Got my lawn rolled yesterday.
Still need to run the dethatcher but it’s to dusty so I’ll wait till after the rain.

60’s today, still way above normal 50’s. The last week of high 70’s has forced everything open. Pears, peaches are in full blossom and cherry and apple are just starting. We are supposed to stay cooler the next couple weeks and I’m just hoping no hard freeze.
I know my lawn tractor will start jardo cause I serviced it the week before operation. It was awkward but I got everything greased sharpened and reassembled which I don’t think I could do today with the bending restrictions they put on me. I don’t usually don’t mow till the twenty-something of April but this year I will probably not be able to wait that long.

Slept in – slept good. Need to take a walk to warm up for exercises, then head down to daughter’s to watch kids for a couple hours.
Going to try a walk through all the fruit trees I’ve been planting for the last ten years.
My pear trees are starting to blossom with these early above normal temps.

It’ll stop when she finally comes to the realization that she doesn’t need to put up with the bs to be happy in her realtionships. Some take longer than others to figure that out. Confidence will help a great deal! But she probably needs to develop that with out help from grand dad. Tough deal. I feel your pain.

The rehab/therapy should help. Keep up the good work!!

Told her I can’t fix them they have to be replaced.

My first trip to therapy yesterday was painful and I ended up having to take a pill to get to sleep.
I will try them here today but I don’t know how far I’ll get.

That is a tough age for a lot of kids Jardo. I’m no expert but the best thing seems to be if they can get involved with an activity at school like a sport, band, clubs. Something they want to do and then they will just put up with school so they can do something with their friends.

48° this morning. My 14 year old grand daughter is giving us problems.
Picked her up from school yesterday and she said is done with school.
She got caught skipping classes so they assigned someone to walk her to every class.

Good news on the stress test Joe – although Carole probably deserves the credit.
Looks like a couple more days of summer before we get back to normal 50’s and 60’s.
Hip surgeon seemed okay with my progress and now I start outpatient therapy which means the trip I wanted to do to son’s in Florida will have to wait a while longer.

      Good morning Marines!
Well, I passed the stress test I think, no issues anyway during it. Guess I’ll hear from the Doc pretty soon. Much sooner if there is an issue. Have to do this regularly because of my afib.
Nice weather still, was 75 yesterday and should hit 79 today. Planting flowers and digging weeds forever, it seems.
Good to hear you guys are getting around really well. Hope these snow blower days are about over for you northern folks.
Oldest sons birthday is today, he’s 51!! How did that happen?? Didn’t hid any eggs for him or his brother on Easter. LOL!
Have a great rest of the week Marines!!

      Jardo,
Good luck with the tree guys. I do most of my own tree stuff except for the climbing part. Have a super long trimming chain saw for that.

37 and might make 50. Keep that 81 way down south Joe. We usually stay cool through the middle of April but it really varies. Trout season always opens then and I’ve seen 5 inches of snow and then again 75 and sun on opening day. That’s one of the reasons the fruit yield varies so much around here. A real warm spell pushes the buds out but then another hard freeze and the blossoms drop.

I have no idea about what you’re going through jardo – and hope I don’t have to learn.
I did service tractor yesterday and although it was much slower I was able to do it. Glad I did as after I got mower deck off I discovered the deck belt is ready to break. I’ll get one today and hopefully it’ll all fit back together without too many “spare” parts still laying around.

I know what you mean Dale. I have so many things that need to be done, but I can’t do them because my chest still hurts.
I’m afraid to do anything strenuous because I may break the wires.
I think after I get my second shot next week I’m going to insist they remove them.
The wires are .020 316 stainless so it wouldn’t take much to break them.

So many things I’d like and need to do now that the freeze is over but the hobble gets more painful as the day goes on.
I usually clean and service mower at end of year so it’s all oiled, greased, sharpened and clean for spring mowing but that never happened with back operation in Nov. I’m gonna try to to it now before hip surgery next week but not sure I can handle mower deck myself but I’ll cross that bridge if I can get to it.

I’ve been busy too Joe – not with harleys, chainsaws and Mustangs – but with some gadgets for hip operation like a sock helper. Never knew there was such a gadget. Neat little thing so you don’t have to bend to put on socks, what’ll they think of next.

Been enjoying our nice weather so much I haven’t been on the site for a while.
Fired up my Harley and my lawnmower and the chain saws and that went very well. Loaded a couple of pickup truck loads of cherry wood to bring home for my grandson to spilt. I had to load it so he wouldn’t lose the job. He was working.
Picked up some parts for Carole’s Mustang. Man they’re really proud of those Fox body (82-93) parts!! Tailight $150. and a gas filler door $50.!!
Hurt my feelings AND my pocketbook! Hope I wont need any more!
Trimmed some bushes and stuff around the house. Too much wind to burn the stuff…had to wait ’til it dried enough to burn, and now ther’s too much wind, wouldn’t ya know?
You guys stay warm and safe up there. Were hoping to start the warm up pretty soon now…..

Snow day around here. It doesn’t really affect the schools anymore as they just all say “remote instruction – no bus transportation “. I lucked out yesterday as the VA sent me 40 miles for an Echocardiogram and had dry roads in the teens.
Another viet vet was waiting – said he’s had two heart attacks and the VA still keeps denying him ???? I told you guys the Pittsburgh RO says no to everything.

Dale, you and Jardo and I picked it correctly didn’t we??
I’d bet The Patriots staff are crying in their beer. Brady and the whole team looked and played like a Super Bowl championship team last night.
Hope my Falcons draft smart. We need some help and with. The fourth pick we should do really well. Don’t know about the new GM and coaches though. We’ll see……
      Have a great week Marines!

Congratulations to the Bucs —. I can only hope that Belichick is choking on it.
The defense deserves a big part of that MVP for shutting the Chiefs out of the end zone which I don’t think anybody saw coming.

      21 and flurries flying around.
I’m neutral on the game and just want it to be tight till the end.
That said, nothing would please me more than the Patriots organization being humiliated with Brady winning another one.

More rain yesterday and this morning. Don’t recall ever seeing a winter season so full of rain, down here.
Supposed to warm up tp the 50s today. Hope it does.
Hope your team wins the Super Bowl. I’m going with Brady and the Bucs. We’ll see how it goes.
Enjoy your Sunday. Only 5 more weeks of winter, they say….

Wife has been searching everyday everywhere for a shot with no luck.
Political hacks in charge say to be patient – day after day after day………
Antidotal evidence seems to be you have to be connected – relative at pharmacy – friends at clinic etc. for people we know.
First time in my life the VA has done anything positive for me.
I told her she’ll probably have better luck if we can ever get to FL.

I’m thinking there may be stuff in the shot that I don’t want. Haven’t decided for certain yet. Hope everyone is good to go afterwards. Think Hydrochloroquine will fix me up should I come down with it. Hope none of us ever have to find out!!
Nice weather here today. No rain until tomorrow. Highs in the mid 40s. Not quite dry enough to paint the porch stuff yet.

10 and clear – no shoveling today. No reaction from shot. 4 weeks till second dose.
We have been wanting to drive to FL and between Doctors and Dentists and C&P Exams we were thinking we could go around the 18th but now I have to be here for next shot, and at least I can get them.

Congrats on the blower operation Dale. Sometime the small things are the ones that count!

Relax jardo – Punxsutawney Phil – the procrastinator of procrastinators – had not been able to see his shadow with all the snow coming down and therefore – Spring is just around the corner! (six-seven weeks or so)
I was able to handle the snowblower through six inches yesterday, took twice as long as I used the low speed and the reverse rather than just pulling it back, but I did no harm so I’m heading back out this morning for another three or more where it’s drifted with 9 degree wind-chill.
And as my buddy Gomer would say – Sirprize-Sirprize-Sirprise! The Butler VA hospital called and can give me a shot tomorrow.
