On March 2nd of 1968 at Phu Bai runway. Plane crashed coming in for landing.
Hit the ground about 30 yards from my foxhole. Plane split into 3 pieces...
I ran to help 3 of the 101st Abn were in the plane section I helped them out another in the tail section they survived.
I was told that 7 others died in that wreck. I can not find a listing on the WALL.
I am wanting to speak with the survivors of this plane it has been 40 years.
I am hoping all is well.

C-130A 56-0549 from 21 TAS, 374 TAW, from USAF Naha was destroyed in night landing at Hue/Phu Bai. All five USAF crew surived, but 6 of the troops being carried died in the accident.
