House Bill  HR 5939 is going before committee.  Ideally, it’ll make it through committee and go to the floor for a vote.

Two requests:

One.  Contact Congressman French Hill (Arkansas,) chairman of the committee and ask him to support the bill. I know you may not be from his district, but all the help we can get is needed.        Washington office:  (202) 225-2506

Two. If you haven’t already, contact your Congressional Representative and ask them to support HB 5939 to include signing on as a co-sponsor with Congressman Davis, NC.  The Bill is currently going to committee. Once out of committee and ideally passes a vote it goes to the full house. 

The Bill recognizes and awards the Congressional Gold Medal to all Vietnam Helicopter (and VMO) crew, maintainers, and Navy personnel assigned to Mag-16, 36 and provisional MAG-39 who served in Vietnam 

To get it passed is an all-hands effort. If not for you, for the families of our brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
