My good friend John was killed in a motorcycle accident this morning.
His wife Alice informed my wife that he was on his way to work when a car pulled out in front of him.
I will advise details as they become known.

I first met John in HMM-261 at New River in 1968, prior to Vietnam. He was a real gentleman and a good Marine. I'll miss him.

John Garcia

I am saddened by this loss. John and I met many times at veterans ceremonies here in Waterbury and at the Prospect VFW that he belonged to. When I first met him he was walking towards me and wearing a baseball cap with Combat Aircrew Wings on it. My first question was -- Are you a member of Popasmoke? He replied Yes and a friendship was born.

My prayers go out to his family as he has flown his last mission and RTB
