Don't be afraid to step forward doing whatever needs to be done, living your life to the fullest, bravely facing challenges through hard work, firm handshake, genuine love, abiding faith.

Michael Mervin Bryte aged 76, passed away March 28, 2023 in Huntsman Cancer Institute, ICU, Salt Lake City, University of Utah.  Born on February 18,1947 in Sacramento, California to Margaret and Ted Bryte, Mike was educated in private parochial schools, including Christian Brothers, Bishop Armstrong, and American River College, then proudly enlisting in1966 with the United States Marine Corps.

Serving in Vietnam with Marine Helicopter Observation Group, Squadron 3, as Crew Chief, Aerial Gunner, he was highly decorated, receiving Sharpshooter, Combat Air Crewman Insignia w/three Gold Stars for meritorious achievement, and Thirteen Air Medals for Combat Flight Strikes.

With a life-long history of work excellence, including ownership of a Parts Shop in Sacramento CA, over 36 years of supervising General Contracting Underground Construction, by far, he believed that his most valuable and beloved work was serving his fellow PTSD Veterans, working alongside his wife Sherry, as "Mom & Pop" Lodge Managers, and Care Givers for several yearsin San Miguel, California, at SkyRose Ranch.

Mike is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Sherry Bryte of Star Valley, Wyoming; two daughters; Kate Bryte and family of Gardnerville, NV., Ashley Baggett, and husband Brian, of Monterey, CA; Chris Bryte and family of Pollock Pines, CA , and David Bryte and wife Cindi, and family of Groton, CT.  Eight grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Sister, Carol Teal, husband Tom and family of Sacramento, CA; nieces and nephews.

Always fearless, Mike stared Cancer in the eye on January 6, 2020, never complaining; never asking "Why"?

With splendid character, strength of heart, and the finest work ethics, he kept daily journals and lists to ensure that each item was properly completed.

Checking off his final list on Tuesday evening, March 28, 2023, bravely battling cancer, exhausted…. he sadly surrendered.

Mike's heaven is full of stunning snowcapped mountain peaks, endless green meadows, his favorite horse, with the most Magnificent View!

"Semper Fidelis"!
