> Greetings Marines:
>
> Received Roland's email this morning. Its with deep regret and sorrow that I tell you that we lost Ted "Ducky" Duckworth this morning. We all know Ted was a fighter and would never quit until the work was done. This time Leukemia won over.
>
> For those of us who knew Ted since 1962 we have lost a dear friend. When we came home we both volunteered to rejoin HMM-163 and deply to Nam a second time. When Ted and I left Danang in December 1965 we both received orders to New River. We were both assigned to HMM-365. The last time I saw and spoke with him was the middle of 1966 when he was released from active duty. That is, until we again saw each other at the Popasmoke reunions.
>
> Carole, I am terribly sorry to know Ted will no longer be with us physically. But, our memories will live on forever. All of HMM-163 share in this sorrow. May he rest in peace.
