There's a reunion for Alpha 1/7 coming up this June in Mississippi.

You guys dropped me off and picked my sorry butt up so many times risking your lives day in day out for us grunts in Nam not knowing at any moment if you were going to get blasted out of the air or not...

I never have been able to say thanks to you guys in person, just on the board here.
I assure you I speak for many that will be at this upcoming reunion that they too would love to get to meet you one on one, shake your hand and just say how much they appreciated your doing what you guys did over there for us.

Hell, pouring rain / sunshine / cloud cover / monsoon, rounds flying all over the place at US AND YOU guys yet you still came hoovering in shootn up a storm with a vengence to pick our sorry butts up.

Please consider coming down to this reunion for us all and get to meet some of the dudes you picked up that are still alive.

Anyone interesed in the details of this upcoming reunion just write me thru email at web401@cox.net and I'll send you the information for sure.

If just one of you guys go down there I'll be the first to shake your hand and introduce you to as many people I can who I guarantee you would want to also express their appreciation.

There's wasn't a thing I could say to you helicopter pilots, gunman or doorman when we were getting picked up or dropped off cuz there was nothing going on there but hand signals.. no talking at all. We all just did as we were expected to do as fast as we possibly could for everyone's sake.

Get your dead and wounded on the chopper as fast as ya could and when being dropped off in the bush, get the hell off the chopper as fast as humaly possible / that was it...

so now, here all you guys are gabbing on papasmoke from yesteryear.
You're still alive / I'm still alive

I don't hoover over gruesome details nor do I discuss conversations or watch videos that blow my heart apart so not to worry about that stuff..

just before I 'do' croak I'd enjoy meeting some of you face to face to see who the heck was behind those helmets and dark shields / microphones / headsets etc., helping to savy my life and all of my friend's lives..

so shoot me an email if you want to head down and meet some very grateful disabled / not disabled / Marines and Corpsman in Mississippi.

Myself, I'm located in Warwick, Rhode Island / aint' got much dough to goof around with but I'm seriously considering going to this first reunion since Viet Nam.

Think it over if you have to, but please consider coming on down and receiving some much deserved 'thank yous' that will be waiting for you.

We don't care what division you were in / who you flew for or gunned for / how many awards ya got / or any of that stuff... just take a couple days out of your life and give this a shot.

It'll be my first reunion too so if you've never been to one / what the heck / we'll give it a shot.

Thanks for checking out my post here and thanks again for all that you did for everyone over in Nam.
