Greeting, from the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum in New York City. We have recently acquired a Sikorsky S-55 helicopter and we plan to restore it to HO4S/HRS-2 "Chickasaw" specifications before our grand reopening in 2008. We are considering restoring this aircraft in USMC markings because of its importance to the Marine Corps mission during the Korean War. We are seeking donations, from private individuals and organizations, to help us in deferring the restoration costs. We are a not-for-profit museum and your donation would be fully tax deductible.
