There is a party at HMM-164, November 7, 2013. The combining of the old and older. The CH-46 will soon be retired from service. There are only a few Marine Corps Birthday Balls left for the squadron as it is. Here is a chance for generations to come together that have two things in common - (1) Marines (2) CH-46 Phrogs. If you are in the area, this is an invitation to share our tradition in this squadron. How many chances do you get to go back to your old squadron? I was attached from Feb. 67 to August 1968. This Ball is about all eras - Flying Death - Knightriders (all times inclusive)'

Semper Fi

Flying Death Alumnae... On 7 November at the Disneyland Hotel your successors with HMMT-164 will celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday. The guest of honor will be Sam Beamon.

Please consider this an invitation for any and all of you who are interested and able to attend. We were able to get the alumnae price to $60 per ticket. Please contact me directly at thomas.h.campbell@usmc.mil if you are able to join us.

Furthermore, we will host Sam at the flightline on 6 November, if any would like to join us for a tour then as well. You may see some familiar bunos!

I am very grateful to Sam for his willingness to come all this way to connect today's Knightriders with their very rich legacy. The presence of any other alums would further enrich our celebration of the Corps and 164. Please consider joining us. I look forward to hearing from you.

Gung Ho!
Lt. Col. Thomas Campbell
