From: Rick Noyes rnoyes@cinci.rr.com

My name is Rick Noyes and I am an old washed up recon marine from Viet nam,Khe Sanh. I recently over the 4th. of July attended a Khe Sanh survivors reunion in Washington D.C. and met one of your members, what a great guy. All I can remember is his first name is Al, he raises beef cattle in Alabama and he was a CH46 pilot that flew up around Khe Sanh. He gave me a card that says,"This trip courtesy of HMM 364 The Purple Foxes" . If any of you know how I can reach Al, I,d sure like to drop him a line. Thanks.
Also, thanks for all the extractions, not sure I want to thank you for the insertions. Rick Noyes

Rick, It was a great honor to be accepted into the company of Khe Sanh survivors in D.C. I considered it a rare privilege to talk with you and others who endured the hardships, made the sacrifices and performed your duties with such dedication and courage in defending Khe Sanh and the surrounding hills. There are few people in this world who deserve the respect and admiration that you and the Khe Sanh survivors have earned.

I'll send you my contact info via email.

I was also at the Khe Sanh reunion in DC Rick. I was with a group of Vietnam Veterans frown the Trenton, NJ area. I flew as a gunner with HMM-262 and we did many recon insertions and extractions, most extractions were very hairy and at night. We're all lucky we got out of some of those places alive!
