My name is Brad Brown, I retired from the Corps in Feb of 04. I currently work for a company called Heavylift Helicopters Inc. We have recently bought 2 CH-53D's out of the bone yard in Tucson AZ. The two aircraft we bought are Buno 156674 and 156668. We are currently flying them and turning them into fire tankers for the forestry department. I was wonder if you may have any information on the history of the aircraft with the Corps. Both were built in mid 1969 and delivered to the Corps that year. I would like to know if they have any outstanding history to share. We are going to place a plaque on the aircraft showing the operations and any outstanding history. You can reach me at

thank you and Semper Fi.

Mr. Curtis,

I am a pilot currently flying with HMH-463 in K-bay. I believe one of those may be a former Ugly Angel (HMH-362 now / formerly HMM-362 Vietnam era)
