I hope someone can help me with this...I recently picked up an EGA at a Flea Market. I think it's an officer's Dress Blue collar device, but I've never seen one quite like it. It's not as large as a cover device. The continents and anchor are gold with the rest being silver. What is interesting about this particular device is that the anchor is unfouled (NO Rope). I just can't remember seeing one like it on the Officer's Dress Blues.
One more question from a former Grunt...WHAT is a NOTAM Board?

Notam??
Flight crews must check NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) before every flight. A NOTAM is a notice from the FAA to pilots of conditions that may pertain to their flight.
AKA = Notice To All Members

The EGA were unfouled in the 1950's. I still have my first emblems( I was commissioned in 1958) and they are unfouled. I can't remember exactly when, but it was in the early 1960's when they changed to the fouled emblems.

As you can see by the date, I've been MIA for some time now, but emerging back into reality. Need to renew my token Grunt membership.
