The aircraft that were with HMA-369 aboard Denver were, including dates on charge with that unit.
155762 (1apr72-18apr72) and (15jun72-10jul73).
155764 (1apr72 onwards).
157772 (1apr72-18apr72) and (15jun72 onwards).
157774 (1apr72-4aug72) went to H&MS36 Futema.
157781 (16may72 onwards).
157784 (16may72-9jan73) went to VMO-6 at Futema.
157789 (16may72-30nov73) went to HMH-462 at Futema.
157792 (16may72-18feb74) went to HMH-462 AT Futema.

Hope that helps

2006 reunion coordinator?

I need to send a packet out in the next two weeks about the Fort Worth reunion. Any volunteers for the 369 job? Light duty, lots of glory, etc.

I'm Ron Osborne. I'm curious about why you ask about the birds that went to the Denver? I was the first CO of HMA-369 when the squadron was commissioned in the hangar at Futenma on 2 April 72. The change of command (to Maj Hansen) occurred the day before we departed. I was a Captain and the Group CO did not think I would have enough clout to deal with the CO of the Denver.

Were you there or joined shortly after? If so, I should remember you. I flew the last Cobra out of Futenma with 1/Lt Ed Devite as my co-pilot. We had to leave the one aircraft at Futenma because we were one helmet short for that crew. I opted not to let someone fly out to the ship without it.
In case you are interested, I still have the complete roster of Marines who went aboard the Denver.

Thanks for the background history. I joined HMA-369 from HMA-169 in Apr '77 when the squadron was reformed at Camp Pendleton and was deployed with Det "A" to Okinawa Jul-Dec '77. We spent a couple of weeks aboard Denver during an exercise in PI.

Some of our officers and older enlisted had been in HMA-369 before, but I don't know if any were there in 1972-73. I'd like to have a copy of your roster, if possible, to see if any of the names are people I knew.
