I am looking for any of my squadron mates who served with HMH463 from the years 76 to 79. Would like to know the whereabouts of Major Rick ChandlerIII, Captains "Too Tall Kenney", Bob Mc Cormick and Pete Farley.

I have had contact w/ Sgt Lennis Larson, Sgt Tony Verano, Cpl David Boyd and Captain Jeff Estep. If you need to reach any of these guys let me know. Thanks

Rick

Squadron Mates HMH-463 - 76 to 79

Ricky,
I'm sure I don't know you except from the posts I read on here, but you mentioned Major Rick Chandler III, and it brought back old memories for me. We deployed together with HMH-361 in 1969. If I recall correctly , he was one of the new pilots and went most of the way through our build-up. By the time you served with him, I was in WO School in Quantico. I remember him quite well and would like get in contact, also. Thanks.

I talked with Rick Chandler last year and have his phone number laying around somewhere. He is a corporate aircraft pilot based in North Carolina and doing well. I have tried to find Bob Kenney but had no luck, last I heard he was working in the marketing department for Sikorsky. I am in contact with K D Johnson, he lives in Camdenton Mo. Also Art Friend lives in Memphis. I was the Maintenance contril chief for 463 during this timeframe and had all of them as my OIC at one time or another. Hooper lives in Oklahoma. Another one of our 463 members, former crew chief, is a major success story and doing some amazing things....he has bought the Hanoi Hilton...yep the part of the prison that housed our POWs. It has been taken apart brick by brick and shipped to the US to be reassembled....kinda like the London Bridge in Az. I cannot release his name because I have not asked his permission. SF

Squadron Mates HMH 463 - 78 to 81

Thanks for the post, I also would be intersted in trying to round up a list of all of the Squadron Mates from around 1976 to 1981. I would be willing to start a web page if nessesary but this seems to be the more appropriate place to assemble. It would be good to touch base with a few folks. I doubt that a Hawaiian reunion would be feasible but an internet muster could happen. I am in contact with Mike Krizan and David Bruce and could probably round up a few more names if I tried. I would like to find Ronnie Delgado, Romero Sandoval, Ted Finn, Mike Rice and about twenty more names including anyone who played in the Centar Band. I am still working on helicopters in the oilfield and I am still the best Cajun sheetmetal guy on my side of the Bayou I know.:D I am proud to have worked with the best, Semper Fi.
