Hello,

My father was a gunner for the HMM-163 in Sept of 66 into April of 67...His name was Albert DiLello and he was from Brooklyn...He would have been 18 at the time....Do you have any ideas on how I can contact people that would have been in the same unit? thanks for your help

Joe, thanks for contacting Popasmoke......I am contacting my HMM-163 Marines who will do the same thing I am doing........trying to place a name with a Marine......your Dad's name sounds familiar, so hopefully when the other 163 guys think about "Albert DiLello" we'll come up with some personal contacts. Hang in there, we'll get back to you shortly as we dig through our memory banks..........just know, when sons ask about their Dad's history....we are very family oriented towards helping and doing what we can to fill in the blanks..........take care.........
Semper Fi.
/Bill.

Wild Bill, I seem to remember a kid from New York that served as my gunner several times, I believe he was a tin bender. A picture from that era might help. Charlie
